Yellowish tan undercolor with a pattern of large dark reddish brown spots. Live exclusively in association with Variable Fire Urchin, Asthenosoma varium. Coleman shrimp will almost always be found in pairs.

West Pacific from Indonesia and Philippines to Australia.

Typically red with prominent white pattern on head, back and tail. Orange claw arm with purple claws and joints. Smaller males seldom vary in color or pattern. Commensal whit several species of sea cucumber and larger nudibranchs.

Saron marmoratus is a rather hunch-backed dumpy species of shrimp. Variable colors with wide patterned banding and thick tuft on sensory hairs on carapace and abdomen. Like all members of genus Saron, this species requires additional research. Primarily nocturnal, but occasionally come out of hiding during the day.

Magnificent Anemone Shrimp on a Sea Pen Colony. Sea pens are colonial animals with multiple polyps (which look somewhat like miniature sea anemones), each with eight tentacles.

Sea pens are colonial marine cnidarians belonging to the order Pennatulacea.
